Inclusion
Tweet
I really like this guy's blog. He posts a lot, is honest, puts up funny and provocative cartoons. Check it out.
In a recent post entitled, "Change for Inclusion" he writes,
I've been trying to read the Bible lately with an eye open for messages about inclusion. For me, its a much more exciting faith to imagine transformation for the sake of including all people in the amazing kingdom of God.
But inclusion isn't casual and it isn't easy. At first it may seem like a "cop out" because you don't have to condemn anyone. But in practice, you are come face-to-face with the people who you are confident have messed up the message of God and are making all the wrong mistakes - but they are included too.
A message of inclusion challenges me to repent and change so I can be open and accepting of those who are fundamentally different than me. It's not easy at all. But it feels a lot like Jesus.

"Inclusion is the heart of the biblical narrative. Exclusion is not...The spirit of Jesus challenges us to relax, change or even reject our theologies for the sake of inclusion."
