An Event You Should Come To
Tweet
I'm really excited that the Central Ohio Emergent Cohort will be hosting an amazing author, Samir Selmanovic, this Sunday (Oct. 2nd) here in Columbus.
Samir writes about interfaith dialog and relationships. He asks tough questions like, "If God favors one people group over another, is this a God we should worship?" His book was challenging and helpful to me.
Currently there is a lot of debate and conversation happening about the proposed "Muslim Mosque" near the Ground Zero site. Samir lives in New York city, and has been involved in the demonstrations and activities that have surrounded this issue for the past months. He has a unique, balanced and helpful perspective.
I'd encourage and invite anyone in the Columbus area who has a slight interest in theology, interfaith dialog, or even the political climate surround Muslims and radical Islam, to come out for this event.
