Somewhere In Between

Today was the last day of 2010. It was a day of transitioning, moving into a new year. It was also a day that was unseasonably warm. In Columbus, the temperatures were in the mid-60's, with clear sunny skies and a beautiful soft breeze. The rivers and lakes have been frozen for weeks, but today they were somewhere in between frozen and melting. I spent a few minutes near downtown and snapped the below photo which shows the far side of the river thawed, and the near side still frozen.

Sometimes life feels this way: somewhere in between one thing and another. Sometimes there are days in which we feel so uncharacteristically not ourselves. Sometimes those are really good days; like today way.
